#1: For Local Deals:

In case you want to return a Groupon and get a full refund, you need to do it within the first 3 days after you made the purchase. Please notice that you can always redeem your Groupons for the amount that you paid even if the promotional value has already expired. After the 3 days, all sales are considered final by Groupon unless there is a special note in the Fine Print.

So, how to return a Groupon gateway? According to Groupon return policy, in case you are unable to book your stay before the book-by date, Groupon will refund your money. In the case that the book-by date passes, you can still get the voucher amount. Please notice that this is only available in case you didn’t book your trip. So, you can then use this credit with the merchant.

One of the things that it is always good to know is that if you are considering booking a hotel using Groupon’s website, they have all the refund and cancellation policies of the merchant in the Fine Print of the deal.

#3: For Groupon Goods:

For any Groupon goods that you buy at Groupon, and unless there is something else specified in the Fine Print, you have 30 days within the delivery date to return almost all the items you bought. After the 30 days pass, all sales are considered final. Within these returns that you can make are included any items that you bought that have missing parts, are defective or that arrived damaged.

GrouponLive is a special case within the different items that you can buy at Groupon. After all, and unless something is specified in the Fine Print, most tickets bought are considered a final sale. In some cases, Groupon is willing to offer you a refund in the case you bought the ticket for an event and you return it in the same day that you bought it or in case the event is rescheduled or canceled.

The reality is that GrouponLive has some exceptions. So, the company advises you to take a deeper look at the GrouponLive Extraordinary Event Policy. According to this special policy, Groupon will immediately notify you in case:

  • There is a replacement of performers. Either when they change, are replaced, or simply cancel their presence, you will be notified.

  • The event is canceled and not rescheduled. In this case, Groupon will immediately issue you a refund of the total amount you paid for the ticket in the first place.
  • The event is rescheduled. In this case, if the new date for the event doesn’t suit you, you can ask for a refund. Please notice that you need to ask for a refund yourself since Groupon won’t issue it immediately like what happens when the event is canceled and is not rescheduled.
  • There is a replacement of the G-Pass tickets or the vouchers. In case you accidentally damaged your ticket or voucher or you don’t know where it is, you can simply print it again without any problems.

Please notice that, according to Groupon return policy, this policy is only applicable to purchases that are made directly on the Groupon website. In case you placed your order with a third party’s website, you will need to contact this seller directly.

Now that you already know how the Groupon return policy works, it is time to discover how you can start your return. And again, Groupon makes things very easy for their customers.

All you need to do is to click on the My Groupons tab and click on the View Details, right next to your order. Then, just click on the “Return Package” link so that you can print the prepaid mailing label. Remember that your return needs to include this label in order to Groupon accept the return and process your refund. In case you can’t find the “Return Package” link, it is likely that you can’t make the return of that specific item.

If everything goes well, you just need to attach the label you printed to your package and ship it back to Groupon.

As soon as Groupon receives your returning item, they will start the refund process within 1 or 2 business days. After this period, you should allow up to 10 business days so that you can see the credit on your card statement.
