For most items, Walmart has an extended period that you can take advantage of to return the item you don’t like or don’t want anymore. In case you have a receipt for the purchase, Walmart will then process your refund and this will be made in the original form of payment.

So, when you paid for your item using:
- A Check Or Cash:
You will get your refund in cash.
- A Credit Card:
You will get the refund issued to the same credit card you used to buy the item in the first place. In case you don’t have the credit card with you or it’s not possible to scan the TC number on the receipt, you will get a gift card or a shopping card instead.
- A Debit Card:
You will get the refund back on your debit card if it’s possible. In order for this to happen, your receipt needs to show “debit tend”. When this isn’t possible, then you should get the refund in cash. In case your receipt doesn’t show “debit tend”, in case you don’t have your debit card with you, or in case it’s not possible to scan the TC number on the receipt, in this case, you will get your refund issued onto a gift card or a shopping card.

In case the period for returning the item has already passed, Walmart won’t be able to process a refund. Nevertheless, they offer either a repair service through the manufacturer for some items or an exchange.
